Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool on this site is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers receive certain technical information about the visit:
- Timestamps for each page view
- The referring site, if there was one
- The pages viewed and time spent on them
- Your device type and operating system
- Your browser and browser version
- The IP address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files placed on a device. They help us understand aggregate usage, such as which pages draw visits and where visitors stop. Analytics services help summarize that traffic. You may block cookies through browser settings, although parts of the site may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Determining which pages are useful and which need improvement
- Directing a search request to the appropriate partner service
- Operating the site efficiently and keeping pages available
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Santa Fe County court dockets or personal case records. This site provides general routing information for the First Judicial District Court, other local courts, New Mexico Case Lookup, and registered re:SearchNM access. New Mexico Case Lookup is a public case-information starting point, while re:SearchNM features and documents can depend on registration, role, confidentiality, security, or jurisdiction.
Official court-record access has separate legal limits. Rule 1-079 NMRA generally addresses inspection and copying of court records while requiring the protection of identifiers and recognizing sealed or otherwise restricted material. The New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §14-2-1, provides an official public-record access framework subject to exceptions. Neither source turns this private site into a court-record repository. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes on this site. Information submitted through a tool is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. Partners control their own retention and disclosure practices, which we do not direct. Review the applicable partner policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Our pages may link to First Judicial District Court information, New Mexico Case Lookup, re:SearchNM, other court portals, legal-aid resources, clerk pages, and outside search tools. Once you follow one of those links, the destination site's privacy policy governs that visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may monitor activity across websites to deliver targeted advertising. Their systems, rather than ours, perform that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed to:
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
- Ad networks that serve advertisements on our pages
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process queries submitted through the site
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard safeguards for the information we collect. Internet-connected services cannot be made completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe that a minor has provided information to us, notify us so that we can delete it.
Your Data Rights
Privacy and consumer-protection laws may provide additional rights depending on where you live. In New Mexico, the Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §14-2-1, concerns qualifying public records held by public bodies, not a general privacy-rights regime for this private site. A request for an official court record should go to the court that maintains it, and Rule 1-079 NMRA sets court-record access boundaries. At a minimum, you can:
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
- Request deletion of your data
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. Any revision will be posted here with a new effective date, so review this page periodically to stay informed about our data practices.
Effective date: August 30, 2026
